Staying Healthy is important and here are a few places where you can exercise, take part in recreational activities, or play sports for free or at a low cost.

Recreation Centres in Toronto

Toronto has a vast network of recreational centres in all communities that offer various recreational programs for all ages.

Visit their webpage to see a listing of free drop-in programs like swimming and skating, as well a list of community centres with free programs based in your neighbourhood.

Toronto has a number of indoor swimming pools that are open year round with recreational swimming as well as classes.

Fit 4 Less

This is a chain of budget gyms owned by Goodlife Fitness, with locations all across Ontario, including in North York, Mississauga, Scarborough and Etobicoke. Each gym is outfitted with many training machines for weights and cardio. You can join for $10 per month if you commit to a full year or for $20 without a contract. The latter option also allows you to transfer the membership between family and friends.
